Republican Richard Nixon visits Merced
April 10, 1962

Richard Nixon visited Merced in 1962 and is seen downtown, in front of The Tioga Hotel, talking with folks. It's interesting that Kennedy visited during the campaign and Nixon visited a year-and-a-half after the election. Is that Dean Lesher shaking hands with Nixon? I never met Lesher but that does look like him.
